How much inflation in 2021? Report released
According to the statistics agency, in the year 2021, the inflation rate reached 12.3 percent.
According to the report of the Bureau of Statistics, the rate of inflation was recorded at 12.3% in December 2021 as compared to December 2020. In one year, the inflation in cities increased by 12.7% while in rural areas it increased by 11.6%.
According to the Bureau of Statistics, in 2021, mustard oil became more expensive by 60.7 per cent, cooking oil by 59.3 per cent, ghee by 53.3 per cent, lentils by 33.5 per cent, fruits by 29.9 per cent, meat by 20.4 per cent, gram by 20 per cent and flour by 14.6 per cent.

In 2021, milk became costlier by 14.4 per cent, beans by 14.2 per cent, garlic by 14 per cent, laundry soap and matches by 16.5 per cent and sugar by 13.28 per cent, while electricity prices rose by 59.3 per cent.
According to the report, the price of construction materials increased by 11.3% in one year.
