Karachi: Encroachment operation on Tariq Road completed, park restored
In Karachi, on the order of the Supreme Court, the work of removing encroachments on Tariq Road was completed and the park was restored.
According to DMC East, all the structures were demolished in the operation carried out on the order of the court in which illegally established clubs, madrassas and 10 shops in the park were demolished.
The DMC said that the residences in the park were also demolished and the encroachments were removed from the park and debris was also cleared.

According to police, the overnight operation was completed at 3 o'clock, during which a heavy contingent of police and Rangers was deployed.
It may be recalled that the Supreme Court had ordered to restore the park adjacent to Madina Mosque on Tariq Road in Karachi, after which the administration had immediately launched an operation.
