Pakistan lifts petrol, diesel prices by 35 rupees a litre
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has announced a huge increase of 35 rupees in the price of petrol and diesel.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said in a press conference that the news of artificial shortage of petroleum products came out and the prices of petroleum products in the global market increased by almost 11%, we have to keep all these things in front.
He said that speculations are being made to increase the price of petrol by 50 rupees per litre. In the last 4 months, the price of petroleum products has not been increased even once, but the price of petrol and diesel has decreased by around 20 rupees. While the price of kerosene and light diesel was reduced by 29 and 30 rupees.
He said that Ogra has proposed to increase the prices of petroleum products to eliminate the artificial shortage.
He said that the directive of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, keeping in view the data of the value of the rupee issued by the State Bank, in the price of petrol and diesel, 35, 35 rupees per liter, while the price of light diesel and kerosene. I have decided to increase by Rs 18, 18 per litre.
Ishaq Dar said that the new price of petrol will be 249 rupees 80 paisa while the price of high speed diesel will be 262 rupees 80 paisa per liter. Similarly, kerosene will be available at Rs 189 83 paise per liter and light diesel oil at Rs 187 per litre.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar says that the increase in the prices of petroleum products will be implemented from 11 am today.
