Minimum fare for Green Line is Rs. 15 and maximum Rs. 55
KARACHI: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail visited the bus on the occasion of inauguration of Green Line and inspected the facilities.
Talking to media while inspecting the Green Line bus in Karachi, Imran Ismail said that the elevators of Green Line are not bad, bus service will run with all the stations from January 10.
He said that the bus fare is minimum 15 and maximum 55 rupees and the green line bus card is confusing the people, this card will have to be charged like mobile phone card.

It should be noted that the Green Line bus service in Karachi has started from today 25th December and in the first phase the bus service will run from 8 am to 12 noon while the working hours including the number of buses will be increased from January 10. Û”
How many stations will there be?
At the beginning of the Green Line bus service, 11 out of 22 stations are operational while till January 10, 25 out of 80 buses in this service will run from 8 am to 12 noon.
According to SIDCL officials, buses, stations and working hours will be increased after January 10.
The Green Line bus service will run from Sarjani Abdullah Chowk station to Namaish Chowrangi station.
How much is the ticket?
Green bus ticket is Rs. 55. Those who travel on daily basis can also make cards in this regard.
The Green Line bus will be able to carry more than 150 passengers at a time, while seats are also reserved for the disabled.
The bus service will be monitored by CCTV cameras and the name of the station where the bus will stop will appear on the screen inside the bus.
The cornerstone of the first mass transit project for Karachi was laid in February 2016, which will now be available to the public after a long wait.
