The Pakistan Super League is a professional Twenty20 cricket franchise league.The league was founded in Lahore on 9th September 2015 with five teams and now comprises of six teams.
The PSL season runs between the months of February and March. with each team playing 10 matches in double round robin format. The top four teams of the PSL with the best record qualify for the playoffs and culminate in the championship game, the PSL Cup Final. The Former champions were lslamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi .
